  4. Salvation  is  a comprehensive program and file manager that replaces  both the
  5. the File Manager and Program Manager as the "startup" shell.
  6.  
  7. You should have the following files included in SALVTION.ZIP:
  8.  
  9. COPY.DLL
  10. MESSAGE.EXE
  11. ORDERFRM.TXT
  12. README.TXT
  13. SAL.EXE
  14. SALVEDIT.EXE
  15. SALVEDIT.HLP
  16. SALVLIB.EXE
  17. SALVTION.BTS
  18. SALVTION.EXE
  19. SALVTION.HLP
  20. SETUP.EXE
  21. STDFILE.DLL
  22. SWITCHER.EXE

  24. Before setting up or running Salvation, we recommend that you create a seperate
  25. subdirectory for Salvation.  We recommend, "C:\SALVTION".
  26.  
  27. To set  up Salvation for use with Microsoft Windows, run the SETUP.EXE program.
  28. You may do this from the Program Manager. Select  "Run"  from the  "File " menu
  29. entry.  On  the  command line,  enter the  directory  where  Salvation  resides
  30. followed by "SETUP.EXE".  For example, if Salvation was in the directory called
  31. "SALVTION", you would enter "C:\SALVTION\SETUP.EXE".

  33. Setup computes a checksum of the executable files for Salvation. Setup verifies
  34. that these files have not changed in content or in size.  If you get a  message
  35. from Setup indicating that the length  or  content  of a file has been altered,
  36. please contact Vitesse, Inc. before running Salvation.  The files may have been
  37. tampered with. They may contain a virus or cause other destructive harm.

  39. You may "uninstall" Salvation at any time be running the SETUP program.   SETUP
  40. automatically determines  whether or not Salvation has  already  been  set  up.
  41. SETUP  then removes all of the set up information from WIN.INI and  SYSTEM.INI.
  42. You must remove the files for Salvation from the hard disk manually. Simply  go
  43. to the directory containing the files for Salvation and delete each file listed
  44. above.

  46. Be  sure  that you run the SETUP program from the same directory containing the
  47. files  for Salvation. SETUP uses the directory information to set up Salvation.
  48. Running SETUP from any other directory may result in an incorrect set up.
